Amy L. Rohe Counsel

Amy Rohe has practiced for over 17 years, primarily in the areas of product liability litigation, settlement of class action and mass tort litigation, and capital habeas litigation. She has participated in numerous trial teams in a wide variety of complex commercial matters, including multiple pharmaceutical litigations and antitrust litigation. Ms. Rohe has worked closely with RKG’s founding partners in the resolution of high-profile mass tort matters, as well as successfully defending those settlements on appeal. In criminal matters, Ms. Rohe has first-chair courtroom experience, including acting as lead counsel in capital habeas evidentiary hearings, and arguing before state appellate and federal courts. In commercial matters, she has experience in every aspect of litigation, including acting as national counsel supervising law firms around the country, developing discovery and trial strategy, conducting deposition and document discovery, performing privilege analysis, litigating pretrial motions, preparing and examining fact and expert witnesses, and litigating appeals.

Ms. Rohe’s notable matters have included:

  • Representing a major manufacturer of transvaginal mesh products in connection with implementation of numerous settlement agreements
  • Assisting court-appointed special masters at RKG in efforts to help resolve pending litigation involving other transvaginal mesh manufacturers
  • Representing four state and federal habeas petitioners in the appeal of capital and life sentences
  • Leading a team of attorneys in overturning the wrongful conviction of an inmate on Pennsylvania’s death row
  • Representing a major oil company in a multi-billion dollar settlement of personal injury claims
  • Representing a major pharmaceutical company in weight loss medication litigation and class action and inventory settlements
  • Representing a major pharmaceutical company in product liability litigation for a blood clot prevention medication
  • Representing a major tobacco company in smoking and health litigation, lobbying compliance, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act compliance, and the analysis of proposed legislation
  • Representing a major credit card company in antitrust litigation
  • Representing a religious institution in a significant property dispute
  • Representing a medical device manufacturer in due diligence investigation
  • Representing the insurer of a major national sports league in evaluating exposure for the settlement of personal injury claims
  • Prepared semi-annual analyses of developments related to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act
  • Assisted with the preparation of an annual treatise on cable law
